Emergent SEO Tool: Proofreading

“Proofreading traditionally means reading a proof copy of a text in order to detect and correct any errors. Modern proofreading often requires reading copy at earlier stages as well.” Proof reading is a fast growing and developing tool in SEO.

Online proofreaders have now become indispensable on the Internet with the huge rise of websites. Nothing else turns a web visitor more off or prompts loss of reliability points than the misspelled words on your website. That obvious spelling blunders right on a website's homepage!

So, what are the SEO tips, clue or hints for a successful proofreading? Recall and follow some of the following 5 points which will definitely lead to an unbeaten proof reading:

 Read as slow as possible. It’s better to read out loud. Read one word at a time
 Developing a healthy sense of doubt. Double check for those types of errors you know you tend to make.
 Read what is really on the page and not what you assume is there. (Though, this is quiet a difficult sub-skill to acquire, mainly if you only wrote what you are reading).
 Use abbreviation only if it appears more than trice in the abstract or document.
 Proofread more than just the once. Probably, work with someone else.

Proofreading as it is identified is not an innate ability. It is a skill that is acquired and obtained. And like it is said, an old error is always more popular than a new truth but Life would be dull without them as A man's errors are his portals of discovery!
