Blogs for businesses

Blogs work wonders for a business and outsourcing. For an emerging firm blogs prove to be a secure and a sturdy source of traffic. Blogs are pre-optimized for SEO; means that they involuntarily draw visitors. Thus, as I’ve already mentioned in previous post, “When half of the work is thus done half of it lays on the company to retain and increase its visitors”

For maximum output from SEO, some indispensable points or tools, should be followed and taken care of. For smart SEO, some thumb rules need to be followed and practiced

Host: choose and opt for the top notch and easily and readily cached by Google blog hosts, like Eblogger, Wordpress and movable.

Design: make sure your layout is unique and outstanding. Keep “home” “about us” and “contact us” pages separately. This makes blog easy to use for visitors.

Links: don’t be afraid of putting useful and vital links in the blog, these links interests the readers very much. Make available links to older posts with new posts.Submission in blog directories is equally important.

Keywords and content: Content is King. Maintain the title relevancy, besides being honest in the information provided and avoid any technical or manual faults.

Feeds: for a professional look add Feeds and newsletters subscriptions option. Attract enough readers through Newsletter, as they are much loved by the reader and visitors.

Flash in the Site

I have talked about the import of “good” web designing in any SEO process. Flash is another very crucial aspect of it.Many clients want to get their site made all in Flash and Java. At times it gets real hard convincing them that’s not what might most get them higher ranks in SERPs.

The biggest limitation of a site fully made on Flash is very obvious- the URL will not change regardless of wherever you go on the site. At one stroke you cut all the potential pages that could have got indexed by major search engines. As such also, key Search engines have a tough time reading the content in the flash.

Another very, and I mean very , vital reason for Flash actually harming your site can be the excessive loading time it takes. For this makes near to impossible for people to quick
access info on their Mobile Phones. They would rather have faster info that is in the HTML format than Flashing it.I really think there’s time when sites fully built on Flash will be doing well enough.

Picture Perfect

Images are an important part of any website.Google is updating on how it will index and prioritize picture on your page. I always like to put up graphics that are essential. Or when I'm feeling a little lazy (which is quite often) to write anything. Nothing beats a good picture!

What is of concern is the quality of your graphics. I condense the images on the site.Java and Flash is best kept to the minimum. Universal accessibility is what I aim at. You would not like to miss out on potential customers only because your site is not designed according to their needs. A simple example is of color blindness. Avoid using red and green at the time-they re easily confused. And try not to use colors to emphasize anything-use bold or stylized fonts instead.

With such remarkable advancements it is getting increasingly significant to cater to a cosmopolitan audience with different abilities and special needs.

The Conclusion of SEO

It won’t be late when everybody will be able to SEO on their own for their site(s).With sophisticated software emerging it will indeed become a piece of cake. The likelihood of that cannot be denied. See for yourself how everyone is catching up on optimizing their blogs. SEO has always been trickling into the masses. And it may well become a layman’s work.

This would become clearer if you take a trip down the memory lane. (I am used to using hackneyed phrases). Back in the 1950s the Internet and AOL were only a rich man’s fancies- who had their “own” sites. Then came Dreamweaver and FrontPage which made it more affordable to create and manage a website. And look today- you know for own that Meta tags and CSS make your blog/site more valuable.

In that line too, SEO services might just become a thing of the past. And perhaps, so will SEM, albeit a little later.

SEO for Blogs

Search engines are especially fond of blogs. Blogs seem to have this native charm to attract viewers. Whether you create one for Google Adsense or for higher SERPs- they get updated on the most frequent basis. As a Consequence, get indexed faster.Blogs make the SEO task a lot easier for a simple reason that they are already “optimized”. You’ve got excellent navigation with straightforward linking ways.

I always like to put (stuff!) my keywords in the post titles. It gets tricky sometimes however it maintains the blog relevancy. Also, the blog caption itself needs to be appealing enough to invite links. H1 tags are a must.

If the blog is well run with several pertinent posts, which could average to 3 posts a day, you are on your way to victorious blogging!

Allegory

I always like to recommend to my clients the question as to why they wish for “higher” ranks. I am glad to hear when they say it could help them find more people who are looking for their products and services. If that is not their answer, I really try making them appreciate that.SEO is precisely for that reason. There is no point in getting all hot and bothered about higher SERPs if you don’t know WHY they are important.

Once that’s clear in mind-you can proceed with the process of SEO.

I like to begin website conversion through some good online PRs. There is not a more effective way to let people know about you. A few connoisseur written articles and a newsletter subscription always stand in good stead. Blogs are always a great option. And we haven’t even talked about paid advertising.
So you see- it is quite effortless to get the work done- only if know why you require it.

The Right Company

Being a consultant myself I cannot over emphasize the importance of choosing the “right” consultant for you.I always like to say it is like an investment. You need to make a thorough research about their working and background. With so many self-professed companies in India and other emerging soft power countries claiming to be experts in their job- it can get tricky to find one. The rule of thumb is honesty is the best policy in this case. I always like a synthesis of hard and smart work.

You can blindly be wary of the companies who do not let you know their working strategies. For, in SEO it is not important to just get the work- it also matters how you get it done.

I always like educated clients who are versed with the basics of this work. That way there are chances of increased cooperation between the two. In case you cannot find a good consultant it is best to hire a consultant for searching a consultant? Jokes apart, find a company you can trust your site with and then forget about it.
